Chargers CB Michael Davis Intercepts Tom Brady For Pick-Six, First NFL Touchdown

SALT LAKE CITY, Utah – Former BYU defensive back and current Los Angeles Chargers cornerback Michael Davis returned an interception for a touchdown during a game against the Tampa Bay Buccaneers.

The Bucs hosted the Chargers during week four of the 2020 NFL season on Sunday, October 4.

During the first quarter, Tampa Bay quarterback Tom Brady threw a ball towards the sidelines as the Buccaneers were driving towards scoring position. Davis broke on the ball and intercepted the pass.

Without anyone to stop him, Davis ran the pick back 78 yards for a touchdown.

Davis’ pick-six gave Los Angeles its second touchdown of the game with 3:55 remaining in the opening quarter of play.

The score put the Chargers up 14-7 over the Buccaneers.

The interception was third of Davis’ NFL career and first of the 2020 season.

He finished the game with six total tackles, four solo tackles, a pass breakup, an interception, and a touchdown.

Unfortunately for Davis and the Chargers, the Bucs won 38-31. Los Angeles fell to 1-3 on the season with the loss.

During his first four seasons in the league, Davis has recorded 126 total tackles, 99 solo tackles, two forced fumbles, three interceptions, and one touchdown.

Davis and the Chargers will play their next game against the New Orleans Saints on Monday, October 12 at 6:15 p.m. (MDT).

The game will broadcast on ESPN.
