NEW ORLEANS – At Super Bowl LIX opening night, Kansas City Chiefs head coach Andy Reid gave a great answer when asked about his favorite book trilogy.
“How about the Bible,” Reid said. “The Book of Mormon, Pearl of Great Price, I like them all.”

It’s unclear if the person who asked the question wanted Reid to say Harry Potter or Twilight. But, he gave the expected answer.
Reid both played for and coached BYU Football in the 1970s and 1980s. Since then, he has coached at other colleges, in Green Bay, Philadelphia, and Kansas City, but remained a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints.
Even with the nonstop schedule that comes with being an NFL coach, Reid has said that he never misses sacrament meeting on Sundays.
Andy Reid, Kansas City Chiefs On Verge Of NFL History With Three-Peat
Just by advancing out of the AFC, Kansas City has already made history. Only eight teams have ever won back-to-back Super Bowls. Only two have done it this millennium.
However, dating all the way back to the 1967 Green Bay Packers who were the first team to defend their title, no team has ever made it to the biggest stage for a third time after winning two straight rings.
Three-peating in North American sports is by no means impossible. A handful of hockey teams, basketball teams, and even a baseball team have done it. But, in football? Unprecedented.

If the Chiefs prevail over the Eagles, Reid will win his fourth Super Bowl as a head coach and fifth overall if you count the Packers winning with Reid as an assistant coach back in 1997.
A win would move him into a tie for second with Chuck Noll for Super Bowl wins as a head coach. Counting his win with Green Bay, five rings would place him third all-time for Super Bowl wins among players and coaches combined, trailing only Tom Brady and Bill Belichick.
