SALT LAKE CITY, Utah – Utah native and current PGA Tour member Tony Finau has listed the top five players that he has played alongside throughout his career.

Finau sat down with Golf TV to further discuss the men listed below.

Brooks Koepka comes in at number five, the multi-major winning pro makes “a different sound when he hits the golf ball,” Finau said. Back-to-back PGA Championships also solidified Koepka at the number five position.

Rory Mcllroy made the list at number four. The Northern Ireland native has one of the smoothest, yet, most powerful swings in the game. “The longevity of his winning ways and just how mesmerizing his swing is, I do not know of anyone who swings as freely as he does throughout the history of our game,” Finau stated.

At number three is Justin Thomas. One of the meanest competitors in the game continues to win at a very high clip. “I do not think anyone hits the middle of the club face more often than JT does,” Finau said in relation to Thomas’ ball striking.

Future hall of famer Dustin Johnson is number two on Finau’s list. The cool mannered, easy going Johnson has produced on the Tour for a very long time. It takes a lot to fluster Johnson who goes about his business in a way that very few can accomplish. “Man, what a freak of an athlete,” Finau said of Johnson. “He has got finesse, he has learned how to hit the wedges and control the spin and I think arguably the greatest player of our era up until this point in his career.”

No nobodies surprise, Tiger Woods comes in as the greatest player that Finau has played with up until this point. Woods is arguably the greatest player in the history of golf. Despite his off the course issues and constant stuggles with injury, Finau was present and played alongside Woods during his remarkable 2019 Masters victory. The pair played together as members of the final group on Sunday at Augusta, a moment that Finau will never forget.

“Having had that opportunity (2019 Masters) I saw the greatness that only he possesses. There are not a lot of athletes in the history of sports like Tiger Woods. I have had the opportunity to play with him a lot and there is no question in my mind that he is the greatest of all time,” Finau concluded.

Finau has been very public regarding Tiger Woods impact on his introduction to golf. It was Woods who Finau would watch and dream about one day being like as a young boy.
