Tom Brady, Peyton Manning Look To Aid Tiger Woods, Phil Mickelson In The Match 2.0

SALT LAKE CITY, Utah – Since the coronavirus outbreak, a much-anticipated return of Tiger Woods vs. Phil Mickelson has been widely speculated. Fortunately, news broke late Wednesday (April 22, 2020) that a re-match is in its final stages of preparation, according to reports from Darren Rovell and Action Network.

However, this time there is a twist.
Tiger Woods will play alongside Peyton Manning and Phil Mickelson will be partnered with Tom Brady. Two of the greatest quarterbacks to ever grace this earth will showcase their golfing abilities alongside two of the greatest golfers of all time.
Details on where the match will be held, what the format will be and when the match will take place are yet to be confirmed. However, it has been rumored that the event will take place on either May 14 or 24 and the likely destination will be at the Medalist Golf Club in Hobe Sound, Florida.
The match will air live on TNT with surrounding content on Bleacher Report and all proceeds will go towards COVID-19 relief. It will be called “The Match: Champions For Charity.”

Woods is reportedly a member at the Medalist Golf Club and Brady now lives in Florida after being traded from the New England Patriots to the Tampa Bay Buccaneers earlier this year. Mickelson confirmed to the Golf Channel in January of 2020 that he will be leaving San Diego, California and moving to Florida.
On November 23, 2018, Woods and Mickelson played each other in a head-to-head match-play golf challenge that was held at the Shadow Creek Golf Course in Las Vegas. Mickelson defeated Woods in a playoff and pocketed $9 million in the process. The 2018 event attracted roughly 1 million viewers worldwide.
