SALT LAKE CITY –  With the Lions’ win on Monday Night, the 17th week of the 2024 NFL season is complete. Players with local ties made their mark all over the league in week 17.

Every local NFL player who recorded a stat, with the top performances highlighted, or helped their team pick up a win can be found in our weekly roundup.

Week 18 of the 2024 NFL season begins on Wednesday, January 4.

NFL Locals’ Week 17: Top Performances, All Stats, And More

Top Local NFL Performances

In The Statsheet

  • East High standout Jaylen Warren had 112 scrimmage yards on 11 carries and five receptions against the Chiefs.
  • Former Southern Utah safety Miles Killebrew had one solo tackle in week 17.
  • Former BYU LB Kyle Van Noy posted four total tackles (three solo), one sack, one tackle for loss, and one QB hit against the Texans.
  • Bingham High star Dalton Schultz caught two passes for 21 yards against the Ravens.
  • Former Utah CB Jaylon Johnson recorded five total tackles (four solo) in a low-scoring loss to Seattle.
  • Former BYU LB Sione Takitaki recorded eight total tackles (two solo) in a blowout loss to the Chargers.
  • Former Utah WR Devaughn Vele caught two passes for 27 yards against the Bengals.
  • Two former Utes on the Broncos defense, LB Cody Barton and DE Jonah Elliss, got in the stat sheet at Paycor Stadium. Barton had six total tackles (three solo) and a pass breakup. Elliss had one solo tackle.
  • Former BYU DT Khyiris Tonga had two tackles on Saturday Night.
  • Former Utah TE Dalton Kincaid pulled in two receptions for 24 yards as the Bills secured the No. 2 seed in the AFC.
  • Two locals in Buffalo’s secondary, Utah’s Cole Bishop and Weber State’s Taron Johnson, contributed to the Bills’ blowout win. Bishop posted five solo tackles. Johnson had four solo tackles.
  • Former BYU RB Jamaal Williams took two rushes for 12 yards in a loss to the Raiders.
  • Former Utah LB Nephi Sewell had two total tackles (one solo).
  • Two former Utes on the Colts, safety Julian Blackmon and kicker Matt Gay, got in the books against New York. Blackmon had four total tackles (one solo). Gay went 2/3 on field goals and 3/3 on extra points.
  • Former Utah State LB Nick Vigil had two total tackles (one solo) in a loss to Philadelphia.
  • Former BYU safety Zayne Anderson had one solo tackle against the Vikings on Sunday.
  • Former BYU RB Tyler Allgeier took three carries for 19 yards on Sunday Night Football.
  • Former BYU CB Michael Davis had six total tackles on Sunday Night against the Falcons.
  • Former Utah State LB Bobby Wagner recorded six tackles and a pass breakup.
  • On MNF, former Utah safety Sione Vaki had one solo tackle.
  • Former BYU LB Fred Warner posted six total tackles (three solo) and one tackle for loss against the Lions.

Secured The Win

  • Two former BYU Cougars on the Chiefs, OL Kingsley Suamataia and HC Andy Reid, helped Kansas City improve to 15-1 with a win over the Pittsburgh Steelers.
  • Former Utah OL Sataoa Laumea and the Seahawks squeaked out a 6-3 win over the Bears on the road in week 17.
  • Two Utah High School standouts on Las Vegas’ offensive line, Corner Canyon’s Jackson Powers-Johnson and Herriman’s Andre James, helped the Raiders prevail over the Saints in week 17.
  • Former Weber State OL Sua Opeta and the Buccaneers were firing on all cylinders in a blow out win over the Panthers.
  • Former Desert Hills standout Penei Sewell and the Lions came out on top over the 49ers in a shootout on Monday Night.
