SALT LAKE CITY – The Utah Jazz suffered a rare 123-97 blowout at the hands of the Milwaukee Bucks on Saturday night, their most lopsided loss of the season.

Lauri Markkanen and Malik Beasley each scored 18, but were outdueled by Bobby Portis who had 22 points in 30 minutes.

With the loss the Jazz moved to 17-15 on the season.

First Quarter

Bobby Portis got off to a hot start for the Bucks scoring 10 of Milwaukee’s first 12 points.

Kelly Olynyk nearly matched his production scoring seven of the first 10 for the Jazz.

As a team the Jazz shot just 34 percent from the floor including 2-9 from inside the arc.

After one the Jazz trailed the Bucks 29-22.

Second Quarter

Malik Beasley gave the Jazz a spark knocking down three quick three-pointers to tie the game at 42.

However, the Jazz struggled to rebound the ball in the first half losing the battle on the glass 35-18, including nine Bucks offensive rebounds.

Beasley scored 12 points to lead the Jazz in the first half while Portis added 15 for Milwaukee.

At the half, the Jazz trailed the Bucks 56-47.

Third Quarter

The Bucks grew their lead to 14 midway through the third quarter, but the Jazz three-point shooting allowed them to hang around.

The Jazz shot 5-7 from downtown in the third quarter, but continued to struggle on the glass securing just two of the available 13 rebounds in the quarter.

Lauri Markkanen scored 10 points in the quarter while Brook Lopez scored 12 for the Bucks.

After four the Jazz trailed Milwaukee 92-83.

Fourth Quarter

The Bucks lead ballooned to 20 early in the fourth quarter and Jazz coach Will Hardy went to his deep bench with more than seven minutes left to play.

Markkanen and Beasley each scored 18 for the Jazz while Portis and Jrue Holiday combined for 43 points for the Bucks.

The Jazz opened their three game road trip with a 123-97 loss to the Bucks.
