Beasley Find Groove With Jazz

Beasley has been one the Jazz most consistent players early in the season averaging 11.5 points and 3.2 rebounds. The guard is one of the team’s most reliable shooters knocking down 42 percent of his three-point tries this season on more than six attempts per game.

The 25-year-old has come off the bench in all but two games for the Jazz this year, with two starts in place of the absent Jarred Vanderbilt.

Beasley’s season averages are slightly better than his numbers over the first six years of his career.

The Florida State product averaged 10.4 points and 2.5 rebounds during stops in Denver and Minnesota prior to joining the Jazz.

Prior To Joining The Jazz

Beasley played one season at Florida State where he averaged 15.6 points and 5.3 rebounds before entering his name into the NBA Draft. The guard was selected by the Denver Nuggets with the 19th pick of the 2016 draft and spent three years with the Nuggets before being shipped to the Minnesota Timberwolves.

Beasley was one of five players acquired by the Jazz in exchange for Rudy Gobert in a blockbuster trade with the Timberwolves in July.

The guard is one of six Jazz players with a double-digit scoring average this season, while his 42 percent three-point success rate is third-best on the team behind Kelly Olynyk and Jarred Vanderbilt.

Beasley will turn 26 years old on November 26 and has a one-year team option worth $16 million with the Jazz next season.

The Jazz are set to face the Washington Wizards on Saturday afternoon in DC, there has been no update on the status of Malik Beasley after the birth of his daughter.
