Donovan Mitchell Sparks Jazz With Big Third Quarter Despite Tweaking Ankle

SALT LAKE CITY – Donovan Mitchell had a big third quarter for the Utah Jazz despite tweaking his ankle in the final seconds of the second quarter.
The Jazz all-star scored 17 of his 31 points in the third quarter against the Sacramento Kings on Tuesday night.
With under 40 seconds left in the second quarter, Mitchell was attempting to drive to the basket when Davion Mitchell tried to take a charge. Mitchell tweaked his ankle and walked it off straight to the locker room. He came back out for warmups during the halftime break and played most of the third quarter when he dropped 17 points.
Sounds like Donovan Mitchell is planning on returning for the third quarter.

Through three quarters, Mitchell had 31 points, 7 rebounds and 6 assists on 13-of-24 shooting from the floor and 5-for-11 from downtown.

Mike Conley and Bojan Bogdanovic each added 17 points at that point where the Jazz held a 90-87 lead heading into the fourth quarter.
After this game against the Kings, the Jazz will be back on the road for three straight games beginning in Atlanta against the Hawks on Thursday, November 4 at 5:30 p.m. MT on AT&T SportsNet and The Zone Sports Network.
