SALT LAKE CITY, Utah – The Utah Jazz are undergoing a shakeup among their broadcast team. Longtime ESPN network analyst Holly Rowe is joining the Jazz in a full-time capacity, while former Jazz forward and color analyst Matt Harpring will no longer be on Jazz broadcasts.

The announcement was made Friday, just three days before the team opens training camp.

Rowe is a television veteran but has strong ties to the state of Utah. The longtime ESPN reporter attended Brigham Young University and the University of Utah before starting at the sports giant in 1997.

Rowe also worked as an analyst for the WNBA’s Salt Lake City Stars before the team moved to San Antonio. In addition to her time with the Jazz, Rowe will continue in her role as an ESPN/ABC commentator this season.

Harpring leaves the team after 11 seasons as the team’s television color analyst alongside Craig Bolerjack. Former Jazz great Thurl Bailey who has served as both a studio analyst and fill in color with join Bolerjack on television broadcasts along with Rowe.

Harpring spent the final seven seasons of his NBA career with the Jazz averaging 11.9 points, 4.9 rebounds, and 1.4 assists in 474 games with the team.

Bailey spent 10 seasons with the Jazz over two stints appearing in 708 games. The forward averaged 12.8 points, 5.1 rebounds, and 1.4 assists during his career in Utah.

Former sideline reporter Kristen Kenney is also no longer with the organization.

The Jazz will debut their new broadcast team on October 4 in San Antonio to open the preseason, and will host the Oklahoma City Thunder on October 20 in their regular-season opener.
