Bogdanovic Named Western Conference Player Of The Week

SALT LAKE CITY, Utah –ย Bojan Bogdanovic was named the NBA Western Conference Player of the Week. The Utah Jazz forward earned the honors alongside Washington Wizards guard Russell Westbrook in the East.
Bogdanovic averaged 29.3 points and 4.5 rebounds while shooting 62 percent from the floor including 54 percent from the three-point line as he led the Jazz to a perfect 4-0 record.
The forward has had to carry a larger burden offensively with Donovan Mitchel and Mike Conley missing the last seven games with injuries.

By sweeping the week’s worth of games the Jazz maintained their spot atop the Western Conference standings.
It’s the second time Bogdanovic has earned the Player of the Week award but his first with the Jazz. The forward was named Eastern Conference Player of the Week in February of 2019 during his final season with the Indiana Pacers.
Though the Jazz have owned the best record in the NBA since February 2, Bogdanovic is the first player on the team to earn the honors this season, and the first since Rudy Gobert was named Player of the Week in March of 2019.
The forward’s week was punctuated by a career-high 48 point outing the Jazz 127-120 victory over the Denver Nuggets.

While Bogdanovic is the first Jazz player to earn weekly honors, coach Quin Snyder has been a regular for league awards this season.
Snyder won Coach of the Month in both January and February and led the Western Conference All-Star team that also elected Gobert, and Jazz guards Donovan Mitchell and Mike Conley to the roster.
For the season, Bogdanovic is averaging 16.9 points and 3.9 rebounds while shooting 44 percent from the floor and 39 percent from three.
