Ersan Ilyasova Has Big First Half For Jazz Against Timberwolves

SALT LAKE CITY, Utah – Utah Jazz forward Ersan Ilyasova had a strong first half in their rematch against the Minnesota Timberwolves on Monday night.

It was looking like a strong night for Ersan Ilyasova when he hit a three-pointer at the end of the first quarter to give the Jazz a 33-17 lead. That was his only points in the first quarter.
The Turkish big man had five points in the second quarter and had eight points at halftime with just six minutes on the floor. He shot 3-of-5 from the field and 2-for-4 from beyond the arc.

The Jazz had an 18-point lead at one point in the first quarter and it was looking like they were going to pull away but the 17-win Timberwolves but the home team didn’t fold that easy.
After Utah scored 33 points in the first quarter, the defense came out for Minnesota in the second quarter as the Timberwolves outscored the Jazz 32-14 to take a 49-47 lead at the break.
Joe Ingles had nine points to lead the Jazz. D’Angelo Russell had 18 points in the first half off the bench, including 6-of-8 shooting from downtown.
Utah is currently on a three-game road trip. They will make their second stop in Sacramento on Wednesday, April 28 at 8 p.m. MDT.
