SALT LAKE CITY, Utah – Welcome to KSL Sports Game Night as the Utah Jazz prepare to host the Golden State Warriors.

The Jazz are winners of seven straight games, the longest winning streak in the NBA, while the Warrior are coming off a loss to the New York Knicks on Thursday night.

Follow this page throughout the night for updates on pregame quotes, starting lineups, and thoughts and highlights throughout the game.

Pregame Availability

The Utah Jazz are one of the NBA’s most prolific three-point shooting teams in the NBA, taking more than 40 threes per game while connecting on better than 40 percent of their attempts.

Jazz coach Quin Snyder credited Steve Kerr and the Golden State Warriors with pushing NBA offenses forward.

“Steve [Kerr] had a very clear idea of how he wanted their team to play,” Snyder said. “And brilliant with the way that they fit their system to their personnel.”

Though there are differences in how the Warriors and Jazz generate threes, with Golden State relying more heavily on shooting off screens while the Jazz rely on pick and roll, Snyder recognized the dynasty’s contributions to the game.

“They did in my opinion change a lot of things about the game,” Snyder said. “It’s hard for other teams to replicate, but certainly they set a tone.”

Kerr meanwhile discussed the natural progression of NBA offenses and how the Jazz are a reflection of that evolution.

“What stands out on tape is number one they’ve been good for a long time so the continuity is apparent right away they all know each other so well, they execute their stuff beautifully,” Kerr said of the Jazz. “What’s different this year is they seem to be hunting threes more quickly and more often. And that’s given them an even tougher dynamic.”

Starting Lineups

First Quarter

The Jazz open the game on a 14-0 run, thanks to 4-4 three-point shooting and a Rudy Gobert layup.

The Warriors meanwhile are 0-4 from the floor.

Steve Kerr mentioned that his team landed in Salt Lake City around 2 am after the plane they were flying on had issues.

The Jazz built their lead to 14 at 24-10 and have to like thier start, but it’s worth pointing out the Los Angeles Lakers led the Warriors 23-10 in the first quarter last week and Golden State still won.

Despite the Jazz hot start, Steph Curry was the best player on the floor in the first quarter and he helped ignite the Warriors offense.

He’s got 10 points and 5 assists in the first 12 minutes.

Yet, the Jazz lead 39-30 after an impressive first quarter.

Second Quarter

The Warriors are trying to pick the Jazz up at like 40 feet, and the Jazz are just too good at getting past it and getting into the paint for floaters, layups, or lobs.

It’s kept the Jazz off the three-point line, but they’re getting bunnies at the rim.

The Warriors did their best to hang around, but Donovan Mitchell came in over the last nine minutes of the half and blew the game open.

Jazz closed the final 3:53 of the half on a 17-4 run and lead by 30 at the break.

Third Quarter

Donovan Mitchell continues his run to start the third quarter, helping the Jazz build a 21 point lead.

He’s got 23 points on 9-16 shooting and 2-3 from deep.

Steve Kerr calls a timeout after a Jordan Clarkson push shot matches the Jazz biggest lead at 31.

Jazz lead the Warriors 100-69. Donovan Mitchell has 21, Steph Curry has 24. 3:03 left in the quarter.

The Jazz build their lead to 36 after leading by 30 at the break. Garbage minutes ahead.

Fourth Quarter

Timeout by the Jazz so the team’s end of the bench can check-in.

Shaq Harrison, Miye Oni, Georges Niang, Juwan Morgan, and Udoka Azubukie will finish the game over the final 9:37.

Jazz up 115-75.

The Jazz closed the game with a 127-108 win.

Donovan Mitchell leads the Jazz with 23 points.

Steph Curry led Golden State with 24 points, 7 rebounds, and 7 assists.

Jazz extend their league-best win streak to 8.
