Donovan Mitchell Fastest Player In NBA History To Hit 600 Threes

SALT LAKE CITY, Utah – Donovan Mitchell continues to add accolades to his brilliant young career. Against the New Orleans Pelicans Thursday night, Mitchell added another milestone — the fastest player in NBA history to connect on 600 threes.
Mitchell went 5-5 from the three-point line against the Pelicans through the first two and a half quarters to hit the lofty number, which took him just 240 regular-season games to reach.
The Jazz guard edged Sacramento Kings sharpshooter Buddy Hield by just four games.

Mitchell also beat out former Weber State guard Damian Lillard, and the Splash Brothers of Klay Thompson and Steph Curry, widely regarded as the greatest shooting backcourt of all time.
Last season Mitchell became the third-fastest active NBA player to score 5,000 points. The only active players to reach the 5,000 point milestone faster were Los Angeles Lakers forward LeBron James and Brooklyn Nets forward Kevin Durant.
For the season, Mitchell is shooting a career-best 38 percent from the three-point line while hitting a career-high 3.4 threes per game.
