Former Utah Star Tyler Huntley Moved To Backup QB For Ravens

SALT LAKE CITY, Utah – Former Utah quarterback Tyler Huntley is one play away from getting NFL action as a rookie.

The former Utah signal caller will now be the backup quarterback for the Baltimore Ravens. The team placed Trace McSorley on the injured reserve after suffering an injury in the Ravens’ win over the Cleveland Browns on Monday Night Football.
With McSorley out and Robert Griffin III not available, the fourth quarterback on Baltimore’s roster behind starter Lamar Jackson is Huntley.
Ravens placed QB Trace McSorley on injured reserve. Baltimore will need to turn to its rookie QB out of Utah, Tyler Huntley, who is currently on the practice squad, to backup Lamar Jackson.

Huntley is currently on the Ravens’ practice squad but will be elevated to the active roster and will be Jackson’s backup.
The former first team All-Pac-12 performer signed with the Ravens as an undrafted free agent. After the 53-man roster cuts happened, Huntley was waived by the Ravens. When Huntley cleared waivers, he signed with Baltimore’s practice squad.
The Ravens are 8-5 this season and will host the one-win Jacksonville Jaguars on Sunday, December 20 at 11 a.m. MST on CBS.
