DON Issue #2 Set For New Release Date

SALT LAKE CITY, Utah – It appears Donovan Mitchell’s DON Issue #2 signature shoe has a confirmed release date. After several rumored dates have been changed due to the coronavirus pandemic, teamed with the return of the NBA season, Mitchell tweeted that shoes will be available to the public on August 28.
Mitchell shared the tweet, advertising a “Spidey-Sense” theme for the shoes to debut later this months. The Utah Jazz All-Star is teaming with Marvel for the release, after earning the nickname ‘Spida’ after the superhero Spiderman.

Adidas is also set to release an additional Crayola theme set of shoes titled the “Crayon Pack.”
“The first new upcoming shoe in the colorful series features two youthful collaborations with Marvel and Crayola to celebrate Mitchell’s admiration for Marvel superheroes, his creative nature, and dedication to youth development,” it said on the Marvel website.
The “Spidey-Sense” shoe feature’s Mitchell’s personal Spida logo, along with the words “Boom,” “Pow,” and “Sscreeech” on the bottom.
The “Spidey-Sense” D.O.N. Issue 2 will be available on August 28 at adidas.com and in select retailers.
DON Issue #2
Mitchell, an Adidas athlete received his first signature shoe in July of 2019. Since then, the brand has released a new colorway seemingly monthly since the initial red and blue D.O.N. Issue #1 debuted.
In April, the All-Star guard gave fans their first official preview of his second signature shoe, the D.O.N. Issue #2. Mitchell teamed with the NBA2k video game series to debut the shoes on the game’s platform.

In December, photos of the D.O.N Issue #2 edition were leaked on Weibo. Adidas did not originally confirm the second generation shoes. Though leaked photos were a near-identical match to the video game rendering.
August was the original release date for the shoes. Then the date moved to early-July. Now, it appears Jazz fans can purchase the D.O.N Issue #2 later this month.
