Clarkson Injects Scoring Into Jazz Second Unit During First Minutes

SALT LAKE CITY, Utah – New Jazz guard Jordan Clarkson gave the second unit some scoring punch during his first minutes on the floor with Utah.
Clarkson checked into the game for Joe Ingles with 4:05 remaining in the first quarter of Utah’s game against the Portland Trail Blazers on Thursday, December 26.
The new Jazzman shot 4-9 on field goals including 1-4 from behind the arc for a bench-high 9 points.

He recorded one steal, a foul, and a -2 plus-minus rating during his first 11 minutes with the Jazz.

Utah’s bench added 18 points to the Jazz’s first half total of 62 for a ten point advantage over the Blazers, 62-52 at halftime.
The Jazz shot 56.5 percent on field goals and 47.4 percent from three-point range in the first 24 minutes of the game against Portland.
