PHILADELPHIA, Pa. – The Utah Jazz battled back from a 26 point deficit before falling to the Philadelphia 76ers by single digits.

The Jazz struggled in the first half and were down 18 points at halftime on Monday, December 2.

Utah fought back to cut the deficit to single digits in the final minutes of the game before ultimately falling 103-94 to the Sixers.

Monday’s loss was the last game of a five-game road trip for the Jazz. Utah went 1-4 during that stretch with the only win coming at Memphis against a sub .500 Grizzlies squad.

After shooting poorly in the first half, the Jazz got their offense going in the final 24 minutes of the game. Utah ended up outshooting the 76ers 46.9-40.7 percent on field goals.

Utah’s lopsided shooting came from three-point range where they were a measly 22.7 percent or 5-22 for the game. Philadelphia made 50 percent of their shots from behind the arc going 13-26.

The Sixers forced 20 Utah turnovers which led to 19 Philadelphia points.

Rudy Gobert led the Jazz with 27 points on 11-15 from the field. He was 5-10 from the free throw line as well. Gobert added 12 rebounds, 2 assists, and 3 blocks in the loss.

Donovan Mitchell was the only other Jazz starter to score in double figures. He posted 18 points, 2 boards, 1 assist, 3 steals, and a block.

The Jazz closed the game without point guard Mike Conley who left the game in the third quarter with hamstring tightness.

Philadelphia had four starters score in double figures. Tobias Harris led the Sixers with 26 points and 9 rebounds. Joel Embiid and Ben Simmons added 16 and 14 points respectively. Philly forward Al Horford recorded 17 points and 8 boards in the win.

Utah fell to 12-9 on the season and 4-8 on away from Salt Lake City. The Sixers moved to 15-6 overall and stayed perfect at home. They are now 10-0 at the Wells Fargo Center this season.

The Jazz travel back to Salt Lake City to host the Los Angeles Lakers on Wednesday, December 4 at 7 p.m. It will be Utah’s first game back at Vivint Smart Home Arena since November 23. The Jazz vs. Lakers game will be televised on NBA TV.
