Donovan Mitchell: ‘Conley Very Underrated Player’

SALT LAKE CITY, Utah – Hours after the reports flooded about the Utah Jazz acquiring Memphis Grizzlies guard Mike Conley, Jazz guard Donovan Mitchell talked about the addition of 12-year NBA veteran.
The Jazz sent Jae Crowder, Kyle Korver, Grayson Allen, the 23rd pick in Thursday’s NBA Draft and a future first round pick in order to get Conley.
Mitchell spoke to USA Today Sports and “The Sports Pulse” about the move that the Jazz made.

“We’re getting a pros, pro,” Mitchell said. “I have heard nothing but great things about Mike. With what we are getting in Mike, he is a great player. He is very underrated in my opinion. He does a lot, he can get into the lane, being able to find guys and also I can learn a lot from him as far as being a point guard, playing the pick-and-roll, finding open guys and being able to make certain shots. I think that is one thing that I respect about his game is that he is able to take certain shots. I am really excited to play with him next season.”
Mitchell mentioned that it was sad at the same time because three of his friends were traded.
“Obviously, I am sad because Grayson (Allen) is a good friend of mine. Jae (Crowder) and Kyle (Korver) as well that they are gone. I have been through this trade thing three times in my career already, so I am a little more used to it than I was the first time.”
