Jim Harding Leads Rich Offensive Lineman Tradition With Utes

SALT LAKE CITY, Utah – Tom Hackett and Andy Phillips discussed a number of hot topics on this week’s episode of Special Forces Gang, including the work Jim Harding has done on the offensive line and how it is paying off for his players.

Expectations Are Growing For Anae

Bradlee Anae has been graded as the number one returning edge rusher in all of the Pac-12. If that is not enough to make you excited, the likes of Leki Fotu, Maxs Tupai, Pita Tonga and John Penisini should help. Utah has the best overall defensive line in the Pac-12. Bring on Sack Lake City, again, in 2019.

The Transfer Portal

Utah picked up two transfers this past week. Headlined by former 5 star OLB phenom Mique Juarez who joins the Utes after spending the past three years at UCLA.

Juarez was the #11 overall player in the entire class of 2016, he was also the #1 prospect out of California and the #1 outside linebacker in the nation.

Unfortunately, Jurarez has reportedly picked up three concussions in three years while at UCLA. His health has been an issue for him, but the Utes seem to be willing to take a risk on him.

Former Washington State offensive lineman Noah Osur-Myers has also joined the Utes. The once three star recruit out of Walnut Creek, California has two seasons of eligibility left.

Unfortunately, due to lack of experience and injuries, Myers was not able to find consistent playing time under Mike Leach. However, depth on the offensive line is key and Meyers certainly offers that to Harding.
