Exum Returns From Injury, Logs 14 Minutes In Loss To OKC

SALT LAKE CITY, Utah – After a 25-game hiatus, Utah Jazz guard Dante Exum returned to the floor for his team’s contest against the Oklahoma City Thunder.
In his return from injury against OKC, Exum had zero points and two assists in 14 minutes of action.
The Australian point guard sprained his ankle in the Jazz’s win over the Detroit Pistons back on Jan. 5 and hadn’t seen the floor since.
As he progressed through his recovery, it was discovered that he also suffered an accompanying bone bruise, prolonging the time it took to get him back in uniform.

Prior to the game against the Thunder, Exum had been playing well with his most impressive stat-line being a 13-point, 13-assist outing against the New York Knicks on Dec. 29.

Exum’s Injury History
Drafted by the Jazz with the fourth overall pick in the 2014 NBA Draft, Exum’s career has been marred with injuries.
After playing in all 82 games in his rookie season, he missed the entire 2015-16 season with a torn ACL.

Prior to the start of the 2017-18 season, he sustained a major shoulder injury, underwent surgery and appeared in just 14 games.
Of a possible 393 games, he has played in just 201.
Still, Exum’s young, size and ability to contribute on both ends of the floor has kept him in good graces, both with fans and his coaches.
The Jazz lost to the Thunder, 98-89.
