Similar to Team Canada, Team USA will also host an Olympic Orientation Camp to begin preparations for the 2026 Winter Olympics in Milan, Italy.
For the first time in 12 years, NHL skaters will have the opportunity to participate in the Olympics which means more best-on-best international hockey.
For Team USA, the two-day Olympic Orientation Camp is, “largely an administrative and team-building event and includes no formal on-ice activity or public component.”
The list consists of 44 total skaters, including Utah Mammoth forwards Clayton Keller and Logan Cooley who represented the Stars and Stripes at the World Championships this past summer, winning gold for the first time in nearly a century.

“I’d been to the tournament a couple times before. We’d lost in the quarters and had a sour taste in our mouths from that,” Keller told KSL Sports.
“This time around, I’m a little bit older, things we’re a little bit different. Super cool to put the USA sweater on and to win. It makes it so much better…it’s a special feeling.”

A complete Olympic Orientation Camp Roster can be found below:
Goaltenders: Joey Daccord, Connor Hellebuyck, Jake Oettinger, Jeremy Swayman
Defensemen: Brock Faber, Adam Fox, Luke Hughes, Quinn Hughes, Noah Hanifin, Seth Jones, Jackson LaCombe, Charlie McAvoy, Brett Pesce, Neal Pionk, Jake Sanderson, Brady Skjei, Jaccob Slavin, Alex Vlasic, Zach Werenski
Forwards: Matt Boldy, Cole Caufield, Logan Cooley, Kyle Connor, Jack Eichel, Conor Garland, Jake Guentzel, Jack Hughes, Patrick Kane, Clayton Keller, Matthew Knies, Chris Kreider, Dylan Larkin, Auston Matthews, J.T. Miller, Frank Nazar, Brock Nelson, Shane Pinto, Jason Robertson, Bryan Rust, Tage Thompson, Brady Tkachuk, Matthew Tkachuk, Vincent Trocheck, Alex Tuch
In the coming months, the list of 44 skaters will eventually be trimmed down to a 25-man roster which is expected to be announced in early January.
Earlier this summer, the U.S. announced the first six members of the Olympic team which includes Jack Eichel, Auston Matthews, Brady Tkachuk, Matthew Tkachuk, Quinn Hughes and Charlie McAvoy.
That leaves 19 rosters spots to be claimed amongst the remaining 38 skaters.
Following a career-best 90-point season for the Mammoth and captaining the U.S. at World Championships, Keller shouldn’t have an issue making the final cut.
As for Cooley, despite a career-season for Utah as well and a stellar performance at World Championships, he’ll have a tougher time making the team given his young age and a fierce group of competition.
Former NHL player and current Minnesota Wild GM Bill Guerin will oversee Team USA while Rangers coach Mike Sullivan will serve as the American’s head coach.
