Utah RB Tavion Thomas Bursts For Touchdown During Rose Bowl Game

PASADENA, Calif. – Utah Utes running back Tavion Thomas burst through an open hole for a touchdown during the Rose Bowl Game against Ohio State.
The No. 11 Utes played the No. 6 Buckeyes at the Rose Bowl in Pasadena, California on Saturday, January 1.
Thomas grew up in Dayton, Ohio as a fan of Ohio State football.
With 9:07 remaining in the first half, Thomas found a massive hole in the offensive line and ran six yards into the end zone for six points.
Thomas’ run stretched the Utes’ lead to 21-7.

The touchdown capped a nine-play, 79-yard drive that lasted 5:10.

Following the score, Thomas had six carries for 24 yards and a touchdown.
Thomas entered the contest with 186 rushes for 1,041 yards and 20 touchdowns this season.
