SALT LAKE CITY – After BYU suffered a 31-28 upset loss to UAB in the Radiance Technologies Independence Bowl, rival Utah seemingly tweeted a jab at the Cougars.
Now, we don’t know for sure if the tweet was a jab at BYU or not but the timing made it apparent.
Right after the game ended in Shreveport, Louisiana, Utah football sent out “Go Utes,” along with a rose emoji on Twitter.

Many fans of BYU were hopeful to get a New Year’s Six bowl game but ended up in the Independence Bowl, which was their contract bowl. Utah is preparing for the Rose Bowl against No. 5 Ohio State after winning their first Pac-12 Championship in program history.
