WWE Star Ric Flair Applauds Jazz Mitchell And ‘Wooo’ Yell

SALT LAKE CITY, Utah – Few faces across the world of sports and entertainment have a catchphrase as recognizable as WWE legend Ric Flair and his signature “Wooo” scream. After the Utah Jazz beat the Boston Celtics on Tuesday night in Salt Lake City, All-Star guard Donovan Mitchell channeled his inner ‘Nature Boy’ and let out a few Wooo’s of his own.
Mitchell conducted his postgame interview with the TNT national broadcast, then turned to Jazz videographer Trey Kamberling and let out two of the signature Flair calls.
Much like a star from the world of professional wrestling, Mitchell then exited the ring, err… the court to the cheers of lingering Jazz fans.

“You Got That Right My Man!!!” Flair tweeted. “WOOOOO!”
Mitchell closed the game against Boston like a Royal Rumble Hall of Famer, scoring or assisting on 20 of the Jazz final 21 points, including two big three-pointers of his own.
The evening was particularly important as Mitchell’s performance came in the Jazz first return to TNT after the star was blasted by former NBA superstars Shaquille O’Neal and Charles Barkley.
Last month during a Jazz victory over the New Orleans Pelicans, the TNT studio analysts labeled Mitchell has as purely a scorer who does little else to help his teams win games.

Making up for an injured Mike Conley, Mitchell scored a game-high 36 points, dished out nine assists, and grabbed four rebounds in the victory.
While Mitchell has started to gain some early MVP buzz thanks to the Jazz league-leading 20-5 record, he has a ways to go before competing with the professional resume amassed by Flair.
‘The Nature Boy’ has 16 World Heavyweight Championships and has twice been inducted into the WWE Hall of Fame.
