Keyonte George Learns Rising Stars Roster Teammates

SALT LAKE CITY—Chris Mullin selected Keyonte George in the Rising Stars Challenge draft, which took place on Tuesday.
The Jazz sophomore was named to the Rising Stars draft pool last week for the second consecutive season.

Keyonte George To Play With Team Mullin In Rising Stars Challenge
Joining George on Mullin’s team will be San Antonio Spurs rookie Stephon Castle, Los Angeles Lakers rookie Dalton Knecht, Phoenix Suns rookie Ryan Dunn, Golden State Warriors sophomore Trayce Jackson-Davis, and Memphis Grizzlies rookies Zach Edey and Stephon Castle.
George is the third-leading scorer from the 2023 draft class averaging 14.1 points per game, trailing only Victor Wembanyama and Brandon Miller, neither of whom are playing in the Rising Stars tournament.

The guard also ranks second in assists at 4.9 per game.
This season, George is averaging 16.2 points and 5.8 assists per game in 38 appearances for the Jazz.
Rising Stars Rosters And Format
Basketball Hall of Famers Tim Hardaway and Mitch Richmond joined Mullin in selecting the Rising Stars teams.
The three teams, plus a fourth roster made up of players who have spent most of their time in the G League this season, will compete in a three-game tournament on February 14, with the winner earning a spot in the four-team All-Star tournament on February 16.

Team Hardaway consists of Oklahoma City Thunder sophomore Cason Wallace, Miami Heat sophomore Jaime Jaquez Jr., Toronto Raptors sophomore Gradey Dick, Orlando Magic sophomore Anthony Black, Magic rookie Tristan da Silva Atlanta Hawks rookie Zaccharie Risacher, and Washington Wizards rookie Alex Sarr.
Team Richmond will consist of Houston Rockets sophomore Amen Thompson, Detroit Pistons sophomore Ausar Thompson, Wizards sophomore Bilal Coulibaly, Portland Trail Blazers sophomores Scoot Henderson and Toumani Camara, New Orleans Pelicans rookie Yves Missi, and Wizards rookie Bub Carrington.
All-Star weekend will be held at Chase Center in San Francisco.
