Utah Jazz Guard Keyonte George Named To Rising Stars Team

SALT LAKE CITY – Utah Jazz guard Keyonte George has been selected to participate in the Rising Stars Challenge during NBA All-Star weekend.
The guard will be placed in a group featuring 11 sophomores, 10 rookies, and seven players representing the G League.

Keyonte George Could Compete In All-Star Tournament With Rising Stars
The Rising Stars Challenge will feature four, seven-man teams competing in a three-game tournament.
New this season, the winning roster in the Rising Stars Challenge will earn an opportunity to compete in the reformatted NBA All-Star tournament against three rosters comprised of traditional All-Stars.
Players who earn All-Star nods will be drafted onto three separate teams by TNT’s Charles Barkley, Shaquille O’Neal, and Kenny Smith, while WNBA legend Candace Parker will be an honorary four general manager for the winning G League squad.

Those three teams, and the winner of the Rising Stars Tournament will compete in a three-game tournament to crown an All-Star champion.
The first team to score 40 points will advance.
The Rising Stars Tournament will be held on Friday, February 14, while the All-Star Tournament will occur on Sunday, February 16 at Chase Center in San Francisco.
George is averaging 16.2 points, 5.8 assists, and 3.5 rebounds while shooting 38 percent from the floor and 34 percent from the three-point line.
