Mike Conley Deep Three, Alley-oop Sparks Jazz Run Early In Game Against Nuggets

SALT LAKE CITY, Utah – Mike Conley was making plays early for the Utah Jazz in the first quarter on the road against the Denver Nuggets on Sunday evening.
Mike Conley hit a deep three-pointer which forced the Nuggets to call a timeout with a 15-7 lead for the Jazz. After the timeout, Conley set up Rudy Gobert for an alley-oop dunk to put Utah up 17-7.
Conley was up to 5 points and 3 assists. His previous shot before the deep three-pointer was a deep two but could’ve been called a three as well with a review.

Bojan Bogdanovic was getting involved early as his first basket was a layup in the lane while in traffic. Then Conley fed him the ball in the corner. Bogey pump faked Paul Millsap and took a step to his left and drilled a three-pointer.
Donovan Mitchell scored the first bucket of the game with a wide open dunk with his right hand. Royce O’Neale scored a three-pointer as he was wide open.

The Jazz are on a quick one-game road trip before going back to Salt Lake City to play six straight and seven of their next 8 games at Vivint Smart Home Arena. This is the first time that Denver and Utah are playing since their classic seven-game playoff series last season in the bubble in Orlando, Florida.
