Jordan Clarkson, Jazz Bench Sparks Utah With Six Threes In First Quarter

SALT LAKE CITY, Utah – The Jazz struggled early from downtown against the Philadelphia 76ers but picked up a massive spark from Jordan Clarkson and the bench.

The Utah Jazz missed their first three-pointers in the first quarter and the Sixers built a 10-point lead before Jordan Clarkson and company gave them a boost.

Clarkson made his first four attempts from the three-point line and scored all 12 points in the first quarter from beyond the arc. Georges Niang came in and knocked down two triples.

At the end of the first quarter, the Jazz trailed the Sixers 42-35 and were 7-of-13 from the perimeter.

Philly had it going with Ben Simmons and Tobias Harris combined for 33 of their 43 points. Simmons had 19 on 7-of-8 shooting and Harris added 14. They were without star center Joel Embiid, who was a late scratch from the game with back tightness.

The Sixers shot 16-of-23 from the floor and shot just three triples, making two of them.

This game against the Sixers wrapped up a 4-game homestand. The Jazz will hit the road for a two-game series in Los Angeles against the Clippers beginning on Wednesday, February 17 and Friday, February 19. Both games will tip-off at 8 p.m. MST on AT&T SportsNet.
