Johnny Juzang Signs With Timberwolves
On the opening day of free agency, the Jazz waived Juzang after three seasons with the team, allowing the sharpshooting wing to hit the NBA market as an unrestricted free agent.
Juzang averaged 8.9 points, 2.9 rebounds, and 1.1 assists while shooting 43 percent from the floor and 37 percent from three in 64 appearances.
The Jazz signed Juzang to a four-year, $12 million deal in the summer of 2024, though only the first year of the deal was guaranteed.

The UCLA product went unselected in the 2022 NBA Draft and signed with the Jazz on a two-way deal before signing his first traditional contract.
Juzang drew praise from Jazz head coach Will Hardy during his time in Utah for how he evolved his game to fit into the modern league.
“I’m very proud of the work that Johnny’s done,” Jazz coach Will Hardy said. “He hasn’t gotten a ton of credit to last two years because he hasn’t gotten as much time with us as maybe he’s wanted, but he’s stayed ready.”
After shooting just 24 percent from three in 18 appearances as a rookie, Juzang converted over 38 percent of his attempts in his final 84 appearances with the team, including 23 starts.
Despite his recent improvement, Juzang will have to earn his spot on the roster in training camp.
“Juzang’s deal with the Wolves is going to be a camp deal,” per The Athletic’s Jon Krawczynski. “They will still consider more experienced guards.”
