SALT LAKE CITY – The Utah Jazz lost for the fifth straight game falling to the Sacramento Kings 117-115 thanks to a big fourth quarter from De’Aaron Fox.

Fox led the Kings with 37 points while Lauri Markkanen led the Jazz with 28.

The five-game losing streak matches their longest winless stretch of the season.

First Quarter

Kevin Huerter picked up where he left off after his 30-point game last Friday scoring 10 first quarter points.

The Kings knocked down 5-11 three-point attempts to open the game and built a 31-17 lead.

Lauri Markkanen scored seven points to lead the Jazz while Jordan Clarkson added five.

After one the Jazz trailed the Kings 35-23.

Second Quarter

The Jazz opened the second quarter on an 8-2 run to trim their deficit to just six points.

Jarred Vanderbilt scored 12 first half points on 6-9 shooting while grabbing six rebounds.

Four Kings players scored in double-digits in the first half led by Huerter who had 14.

At the break, the Jazz trailed the Kings 60-51.

Third Quarter

The Jazz found their stroke in the third quarter getting back-to-back threes from Kelly Olynyk and Jordan Clarkson to cut the Kings lead from 12 to six.

The team shot 4-11 from three overall in the quarter as the Kings were unable to run away from the Jazz.

Lauri Markkanen scored 11 points in the third, fueled by 7-7 shooting from the free-throw line.

After three the Jazz led the Kings 89-88.

Fourth Quarter

The Jazz built their lead to as large as three before Domantas Sabonis and De’Aaron Fox took over the fourth quarter.

Sabonis handed out four assists while Fox added 22 points.

The Jazz shot just 2-7 from the three-point line as their offense went cold in the fourth quarter.

Fox scored the game-winning basket with .4 seconds left to play, and Lauri Markkanen’s buzzer-beating three was waived off as Sacramento handed the Jazz their fifth straight loss with a 117-115 victory.
