Jazz Guard Donovan Mitchell Steals Ball After Chasing Down Rockets’ Fast Break

SALT LAKE CITY, Utah – Jazz guard Donovan Mitchell disrupted a fast break by the Rockets by chasing down Kenyon Martin Jr. and stealing the ball during the first half of Utah’s game against Houston.
The Jazz hosted the Rockets at Vivint Arena on Friday, March 12.
With 7:47 remaining in the second quarter, Martin Jr. was dribbling down the court on a one-man fast break when Mitchell sprinted in front of the Rockets forward and stripped the ball.

Utah’s following possession resulted in a Houston foul and a trip to the free throw line for Bojan Bogdanovic.
The Jazz forward connected on both attempts at the charity stripe to give Utah a 47-32 lead.

At halftime, Utah owned a 65-48 advantage.
Mitchell led the Jazz with 20 points.
Bogdanovic poured in 13 points.
During the first 24 minutes of action, the Jazz shot 48.7 percent overall and 40.0 percent on three-pointers.

The Jazz limited the Rockets to 36.4 percent from the field and 21.1 percent on triples.
Kevin Porter Jr. led Houston with 12 points.
