SALT LAKE CITY, Utah – Fans of the Utah Jazz can begin voting for their favorite players to represent the team for the 2021 NBA All-Star game, though the event may not take place.

The league has had discussions about how to approach the All-Star event, including options to host the game in Georgia with proceeds going to benefit Historically Black colleges and universities scrap, or to scrap the game altogether,

The event was originally slated to be held in Indianapolis before the COVID-19 pandemic. The state has been awarded the game in 2024 to make up for the missed date.

With the Jazz owning the best record in the NBA as All-Star voting opens, the team should be a candidate to have multiple players represented for the honor.

Guard Donovan Mitchell and Rudy Gobert earned their first All-Star bids last season in Chicago, while both Mike Conley and Jordan Clarkson should receive consideration due to their stellar play this season.

Jazz fans can vote for their favorite players in a handful of ways leading up to the February 16 deadline.

Fans can fill out one ballot per day leading up to the event by visiting vote.NBA.com or in the NBA mobile app. They can also tweet, retweet, or reply with a hashtag of an NBA player’s first and last name or Twitter handle, along with the hashtag #NBAAllStar.

Each tweet may include only one player’s name or handle.  Fans may vote for 10 unique players per day.

All-Star starters will be revealed on TNT on February 18, with reserves being named on February 23. In place of the traditional All-Star weekend, the NBA will break from March 5-10 before reconvening for the second half of the season schedule.
