Donovan Mitchell Set For Call Of Duty Matchup With Legendary Gamer Ninja

SALT LAKE CITY, Utah – Donovan Mitchell has used his time in quarantine after testing positive for coronavirus by expanding his horizons. In addition to creating his own Twitch.tv channel, the Jazz All-Star guard has connected with perhaps the most famous gamer alive today.

After asking on twitter if anyone was interested in playing the popular online streaming game Call of Duty Tuesday night, Ninja replied that he and fellow gamer Funk were looking for an extra player to play along with.

Then, Wednesday night Mitchell and Ninja announced they’d finally be streaming together.

For those who are unaware, Ninja has quickly become one of the world’s most heavily followed online gamers, attracting more than five million Twitter followers and 25 million youtube subscribers.

Ninja, whose real name is Tyler Blevins owns a number of records in the gaming community regarding viewership of his streams, including the length of time spent viewing, and most viewers for a single stream.

Blevins has turned his online popularity into extreme wealth, as the 28-year-old is believed to bring in a salary of more than $10 million per year, easily outpacing the Jazz All-Star guard.

The gamer has previously streamed rounds of games with celebrities like Drake and Travis Scott, as well as Pittsburgh Steelers wideout JuJu Smith-Schuster.

While Mitchell may be in uncharted territory playing with a gamer the quality of Ninja, it seems he’ll have at least one familiar player on his team. Jazz forward Royce O’Neale is also teaming up with Mitchell and Ninja on the stream according to his Twitter account.
