Donovan Mitchell Makes Immediate Impact In Return Against Heat

SALT LAKE CITY – Jazz guard Donovan Mitchell made an immediate impact during the opening minute of Utah’s game against the Miami Heat. Mitchell missed Utah’s last game due to an ankle sprain.

41 seconds into the game, Mitchell tested his ankle with a driving layup for the first Jazz points of the contest.
The two-time NBA All-Star knocked down a straightaway three-pointer 18 seconds later to give the Jazz a 5-2 lead.

At the 6:55 mark, the Heat a full timeout for the first break of the game. Miami owned a 12-9 lead over Utah.
During the opening five minutes of action, Mitchell had five points on 2-3 shooting, including 1-2 from beyond the arc.
Through his first seven appearances this season, Mitchell is averaging 24.9 points on 41.6 percent shooting, including 32.9 percent from downtown. He is also recording 4.6 rebounds and 4.9 assists in 32.0 minutes per game.
