Weber State Alum Damian Lillard Named To 2025 All-Star Team

SALT LAKE CITY – Former Weber State superstar and current Milwaukee Bucks guard Damian Lillard has been named to the 2025 NBA All-Star team.
Lillard was one of seven Eastern Conference reserves named on Thursday night.

Damian Lillard Earns Ninth All-Star Bid
Lillard was selected by the NBA’s coaches for his ninth All-Star game, making his seventh appearance in the last eight years.
The guard is averaging 25.3 points, 7.3 assists, and 4.7 rebounds while shooting 45 percent from the floor including 37 percent from three.
The 34-year-old will be joined by Bucks teammate Giannis Antetokounmpo who was named an All-Star starter last week.

Joining Lillard among Eastern Conference reserves are Cleveland Cavaliers guard Darius Garland, Cavaliers forward Evan Mobley, Miami Heat guard Tyler Herro, Boston Celtics forward Jaylen Brown, Indiana Pacers forward Pascal Siakam, and Detroit Pistons guard Cade Cunningham.
Eastern Conference starters include Antetkoumpo, Cavaliers guard Donovan Mitchell, Boston Celtics forward Jayson Tatum, New York Knicks guard Jalen Brunson, and Knicks center Karl-Anthony Towns.
NBA Unveils New All-Star Format
For the first time, the NBA will stage a four-team, three-game tournament featuring 24 All-Stars and the winner of the Rising Stars Tournament.
The 24 NBA All-Stars will be split into three eight-player teams via a draft conducted by TNT basketball analysts Shaquille O’Neal, Charles Barkley, and Kenny Smith.

Those three teams, plus the winning roster from the NBA Rising Stars tournament, named for WNBA legend Candace Parker, will then compete in a three-game tournament to crown one ultimate winner.
The eight players on the winning roster will receive $125,000, the runner-up will receive $50,000, while the third and fourth-place roster players will receive $25,000 each.
All-Star weekend will be held at the Chase Center in San Francisco, February 14-16.
