Report: Real Salt Lake Trades Bode Hidalgo To CF Montréal

SANDY, Utah – Real Salt Lake is reportedly sending homegrown defender Bode Hidalgo to CF Montréal as part of a busy final day of the MLS Secondary Transfer Window.
Real Salt Lake acquired USMNT defender DeAndre Yedlin earlier in the day in exchange for $304,700 in 2025 General Allocation Money.

Hidalgo has played 18 games (eight starts) in 2025. He has played 813 minutes this season.
About Bode Hidalgo
The Sandy, Utah, native played six games with Real Salt Lake in 2022 to begin his Major League Soccer career. He played 85 minutes and scored a goal in his brief first professional season. It continues to be the only goal of his career.
Hidalgo became an integral part of Pablo Mastroeni’s backline over the past three seasons. Hidalgo played 23 games (13 starts) in 2023.
2024 was more of the same as Hidalgo started 15 of the 25 games he played in. He tallied an assist in 1,453 minutes played.
