Taysom Hill, New Orleans Saints Land Handful Of National TV Games

SALT LAKE CITY – Will Taysom Hill be the starting quarterback for the New Orleans Saints this season? The Saints QB race featuring the former BYU star and former No. 1 overall pick Jameis Winston will be one of the big storylines around the NFL.
Whoever ends up getting the starting nod in the first season without future Hall of Famer Drew Brees, the Saints are still a big national attraction in the league.

New Orleans landed five national TV games. So for BYU fans hoping to see Taysom Hill win the job, they will see a lot of him in 2021 if he gets the nod from head coach Sean Payton.
The Saints first of five primetime games comes on October 25th when they travel to take on Russell Wilson and the Seattle Seahawks on Monday Night Football.
New Orleans landed a Thanksgiving night date in primetime against the defending AFC East champion Buffalo Bills here on KSL 5 TV on November 25.

Then one week later, it’s another primetime slot on a Thursday against America’s Team, the Dallas Cowboys on Fox, NFL Network, and Amazon.
The last primetime game is an NFC South showdown against the defending Super Bowl Champion Tampa Bay Buccaneers and Tom Brady. Imagine Taysom Hill against Tom Brady on Sunday Night Football on KSL 5 TV; let’s fire it up.
Taysom Hill started in four games at quarterback last year for the Saints, and he posted a 3-1 record in those contests in relief of an injured Drew Brees. Hill completed 82 of his 114 pass attempts in those four starts, and he passed for 834 yards in those starts.
The Saints open the season on Sunday, September 12th, at home against the Green Bay Packers. Green Bay is hoping that Aaron Rodgers is still their quarterback when they travel to the Superdome on September 12th. Reports surfaced last month that Rodgers no longer wants to play in Green Bay.
