Jets QB Zach Wilson Shows Wheels With Long TD Run Against Jaguars

SALT LAKE CITY – Former BYU and current Jets quarterback Zach Wilson showed off his wheels with a big touchdown run to cap New York’s opening possession against the Jacksonville Jaguars.
The Jets hosted the Jaguars at MetLife Stadium on Sunday, December 26.
With 3:54 remaining in the first quarter, the Jaguars brought some heat in an attempt to sack Wilson on 3rd & 5 from New York’s 48-yard line.
The former BYU star evaded the pressure and rolled out to the far side of the field, which was wide-open. Wilson began to sprint down the sideline and cut back to avoid Jacksonville’s secondary before diving across the goal line into the end zone.

Wilson’s run went for 52 yards and six points. The touchdown run gave New York a 6-3 lead.
The sprint capped an eight-play, 91-yard drive that lasted 4:18.
It was Wilson’s fourth rushing touchdown of his rookie campaign.

After the score, Wilson was 3/4 passing for 25 yards. He added one carry for 52 yards and one touchdown with his legs.
The Corner Canyon High School product entered the game having thrown for 1,911 yards, six touchdowns, and 11 interceptions.
New York’s game against Jacksonville is televised on CBS.
