E:60 Docuseries Featuring Former Ute Alex Smith’s Recovery To Air This Week

SALT LAKE CITY, Utah – The much-anticipated episode of E:60 featuring Alex Smith’s recovery from a brutal leg injury is set to air Friday, May 1, 2020.
According to ESPN injury analyst, Stephania Ball the “Project 11” begins at 7:30 p.m. EST this Friday.
On the first night of the NFL draft 15 years ago, QB Alex Smith was the first overall pick. Little did he know how close he would come to losing his life while playing the game he loves.

The first previews for the Alex Smith E:60 feature were released back in February.

Alex Smith’s Injury and Recovery Featured On E:60
In November of 2018, Smith suffered a compound fracture in his leg while playing for the Washington Redskins.
Following the injury, he was faced with major infections that led to him getting sepsis. He was faced with the possibility of an amputation.
In an interview earlier this year, Smith said he was “very much lucky to be alive, and very much lucky to still have his leg.”
Now, according to Smith’s narration in the preview, playing quarterback in the NFL isn’t out of the question.
