SALT LAKE CITY – Utah defensive end John Henry Daley enters his redshirt sophomore season looking to build off a career-high seven games played in 2024.
Utah head coach Kyle Whittingham expects Daley to be a centerpiece on the Utes’ defensive line after seeing limited action last season.
“Transferred in last year and didn’t have a lot of playing time last season,” Whittingham began. “But he really came into his own this spring. He will be one of the defensive ends that rotate in there and gets plenty of playing time.”
Daley made a career-high three tackles in last year’s season finale against UCF.
