SALT LAKE CITY – Utah football boasts one of, if not the best, offensive lines in college football, and massive left guard Tanoa Togiai is an instrumental cog in the machine.
Togiai is the next player named in the 2025 KSL Sports Zone Hans & Scotty G. 60 in 60 watchlist.
“Tanoa Togiai has gotten better and better since he’s gotten in the program,” head coach Kyle Whittingham said. “He settled in at the left guard position. (Has) great size at 6’6, 330 pounds, and very athletic.”
Togiai played 11 games in 2024, starting 10, before a knee injury ended his season prematurely.
About Utah’s Tanoa Togiai
Togiai was considered a three-star recruit by 247Sports.com and the No. 3 prospect out of Idaho after a standout prep career at Rigby High School. He also competed in track and field and basketball.
He followed up a first-team all-conference performance as a junior by being named the 2019 5A High Country Defensive Player of the Year while leading Rigby to the 5A state championship.
Utah G Tanoa Togiai is someone that I haven’t seen on anyone’s radar, but he definitely should be. Great length and plus athleticism. The technique needs work, but the tools are absolutely there. #Utes pic.twitter.com/KDJem860zc

Togiai played two games as a freshman in 2021 after sitting out 2020.
He went on to play 21 games with two starts at left tackle over the next two seasons.
A redshirt senior, Togiai has appeared in 34 games during his Utah career.
