SALT LAKE CITY –Entering his junior season, tight end Dallen Bentley is expected to take on a larger role in Utah’s offense after two years of development.
The Utes pride themselves on grit and a hard-nosed attack, and Bentley aligns with that style well. Still, his pass-catching production could very well take a step up in 2025.
Head coach Kyle Whittingham spoke on Bentley’s time with the Utes and what he expects to see from him next season.
“Dallen Bentley played his best football this past spring,” Whittingham said. “He’s a prototypical in-line tight end. He can do it all, he can block, he can catch, and he will be a guy that is a big part of our offense this fall.”
Bentley didn’t make the 60 in 60 list in 2023 or 2024.
See where he gets placed on this year’s list after the 2025 College Football season.
About Utah’s Dallen Bentley
Bentley is a junior tight end from Taylorsville, Utah.
After four years with the Taylorsville Warriors, Bentley went to Snow College for his freshman year in 2022. In eight games, he recorded 114 yards and two touchdowns and was named to the NJCAA All-America second-team.
As a four-star JUCO prospect, Bentley got offers from Louisville, New Mexico, San Diego State, Colorado, Washington, and Utah. Ultimately, he chose to stay home with the Utes and saw his first action in 2023.
He recorded one reception for five yards in his first year. In 2024, he played in all 12 games with seven starts and had two receptions for 15 yards.
