Jordan Love Spoke With Packers QB Aaron Rodgers, Ready To ‘Learn From Him’

SALT LAKE CITY, Utah – Former Utah State quarterback Jordan Love told ESPN that he has spoken to his new teammate, Green Bay Packers quarterback Aaron Rodgers.

The Packers used their first round draft pick, 26th overall to select Love on Thursday night. It has since created some rumored controversy.
When Love was drafted, many thought that Rodgers would be upset since the Packers used their first round pick to select a quarterback rather than an offensive weapon for Rodgers. The pick basically put a clock on the time that Rodgers has left as the Packers starting quarterback.

Love joined ESPN and ABC’s Maria Taylor during the second day of the 2020 NFL Draft coverage and told her that he has already spoken with Rodgers since being drafted by Green Bay.
“Yeah, I was able to talk with him earlier,” Love said. “You know, really good guy. [He was] just congratulating me, and I was just letting him know that I was excited to be able to work with him.”
According to ESPN, Rodgers initiated the conversation. Love is planning on working closely with Rodgers to learn the process of being a starting quarterback in the National Football League.
“It’s a lot of things to be able to learn,” he said. “I’m just gonna take it step by step. Just trying to get behind him, learn everything he’s doing and understand the process.”
