Salt Lake County High School Player of the Week – Week 2 – Judah Valle, Brighton

SALT LAKE CITY – The Hercules Salt Lake County High School Player of the Week is celebrating the best high school football player in Salt Lake County. Presented by Hercules First Federal Credit Union, each week we honor athletes for their exceptional performance on the gridiron.  Our winner this week was Brighton High School running back Judah Valle.

Salt Lake County Player of the Week – Phill Holland, Murray

Brighton opened the season with a blowout loss to Davis High School and was looking to bounce back as they hosted Weber High School last Friday. Things started out poorly for the Bengals as the Warriors drew first blood and raced out to a 21-7 lead after the first quarter. That’s when Valle and the Brighton ground game came to life as he found paydirt twice and a late field goal just before the half sent both teams to the locker room deadlocked at 24-all.

Valle kept the momentum up as the second half as he added two more touchdowns and Brighton fended off Weber to pick up their first victory of the season 38-31. He finished the contest with four touchdowns on 33 carries for 235 yards, averaging 7.1 yards per carry.
