Northern Utah High School Basketball Players of the Week – Week 5

SALT LAKE CITY—The John Watson Northern Utah High School Player of the Week is celebrating the best high school basketball players in Northern Utah. Presented by John Watson Chevrolet in Ogden, we honor athletes for their exceptional performance on the hardwood each week. Our winners for week five were Bryson Landis from Bonneville and Mae Johnson from Bountiful.
Northern Utah Players of the Week – Five
Landis powered the Lakers to back-to-back week five victories. He tallied 17 points and 12 rebounds to hand Woods Cross a loss. Later in the week, he followed that up with 10 points and nine rebounds to beat Clearfield.
Johnson helped lead Bountiful to a pair of week five wins. She totaled 24 points, 16 rebounds, and four blocks to beat Box Elder, and she added 25 points and 13 boards in a win over Viewmont.
