LOUISVILLE, Ky. – Utah Royals forward Brecken Mozingo put the Utah Royals on the board in the opening minutes against Racing Louisville FC on Friday.
Off a cross from Mina Tanaka, Mozingo loaded up from the left side of the box and got it through traffic into the broom right corner.

The score was Mozingo’s third of the season, and also her third in three games.
Unfortunately for the Royals, the lead didn’t last long. In the 9th minute, Emma Sears let it fly from deep and sent a rocket into the top right corner.
Throughout the first 25 minutes, the time of possession and shot attempt numbers were nearly identical. However, scoring moments define games.
Louisville was able to break through again. This time, a beautiful cross found the head of Ellie Jean, and she did the rest.
