SANDY, Utah – Utah Royals forward Brecken Mozingo scored her second goal in two games to equalize early in the match against the Orlando Pride on Friday.
The goal was Mozingo’s second of the season, the first coming in a 3-3 draw with Washington last Saturday.

Off a picturesque through ball from Claudia Zornoza, Mozingo gained possession in stride and buried her shot into the bottom right corner.
The shot equalized the score at 1-1 after the Pride had taken the early lead in the 6th minute.
Barbra Banda’s early goal spelled potential disaster for the Royals. Entering their 10th match of the season, Utah was 0-4 when conceding first, while Orlando was a perfect 6-0 when scoring first.

Unfortunately, that stat projection ended up running its course.
Banda scored back-to-back goals in the 27th and 38th minutes to increase the Orlando lead to 3-1 heading into halftime.
