Carolina opened scoring midway through the period off the stick of Jalen Chatfield. Utah turned up the heat but was unable to score until their first power play opportunity with less than three minutes until the first intermission.

Utah Hockey Club Looks To Stay Hot Against Hurricanes

The Utah Hockey Club is currently riding a high as they have squeaked out back-to-back overtime wins off two game-winners from Dylan Guenther. As the NHL season reaches a pivotal point going into the 4 Nations break, they look to stay hot and pick up points wherever they can.

Meanwhile, the Hurricanes are comfortably in the East playoff picture. However, doubt has started to creep in as they have slightly lost their footing following three straight losses.

Utah and Carolina last faced off in Delta Center on Wednesday, November 13, where the Hockey Club ran away with a 4-1 win.
