LOGAN, Utah – Neemias Queta had a double-double with 18 points and 12 rebounds as the Utah State Aggies beat the Colorado State Rams 83-64 for their 11th straight win.

Reigning Mountain West Player of the Week Neemias Queta also had 2 assists, 1 steal and 3 blocks, while shooting 6-of-8 from the floor as the Aggies remain undefeated in conference play.

The Aggies used a late run in the first half to get a 15-point lead at the break, 44-29. Then they outscored the Rams 39-35 in the second half to pick up the victory. Brock Miller led all scorers with 20 points on 6-of-10 shooting from beyond the arc. Alphonso Anderson added 12 points and 3 boards off the bench.

Rollie Worster, Justin Bean and Marco Anthony scored 8 points apiece. Worster also had 9 assists.

Utah State shot the ball remarkably well from the perimeter, making 10 of their 19 attempts from deep for 52 percent shooting. Overall, they shot 45 percent from the floor (26-57) and lived at the foul line, attempting 28 free throws and made 21.

β€œIt’s a great win for the Aggies,” Utah State head coach Craig Smith said after the game. “I thought we played well from start to finish in a lot of different phases. Colorado State is a very good team. They put a lot of pressure on you in a lot of different spots on the offensive end, and you really have to be on point with how you’re guarding them. Fortunately for us, they missed some clean looks. We need to address that and be tighter with that going into the game on Thursday.”

The Aggies dominated the glass, outrebounding the Rams 44-25, including 13-4 on the offensive boards.

Only two Colorado State players reached double figures, led by Isaiah Stevens with 16 points, 5 rebounds and 4 assists. Adam Thistlewood added 14 points on 4-of-6 shooting.

The Rams made 51 percent (21-52) of their field goals, 33 percent (9-27) of their three-point attempts and 72 percent (13-18) of their free throws. Colorado State lost just their third game of the season and second contest in conference play. Their other losses came against St. Mary’s and San Diego State.

Utah State improved their record to 12-3 overall and 9-0 in conference play. They will have a rematch with Colorado State on Thursday, January 21 at The Spectrum. Tip-off is at 9 p.m. MST and will be televised on FS1.
