BYU Basketball Honors Kobe Bryant Before Game Against Pepperdine

PROVO, Utah – The BYU Basketball program honored the basketball legend Kobe Bryant and his daughter Gianna before the team’s game against the Pepperdine Waves.
Bryant and his daughter were killed in a helicopter crash on Sunday, January 26.
The Cougars honored the Bryants with 24 seconds of silence prior to tipping off against the Waves at the Marriot Center on Thursday, January 30.
Pepperdine University is located 27.7 miles from the Staples Center where Bryant played for the Los Angeles Lakers.

In addition to the moment of silence for the Bryants, BYU’s student section held up cards featuring Bryant’s No. 8 and No. 24 jersey numbers.
The cards were in the same pattern and colors of the Lakers uniforms that Bryant wore during his 20-year NBA career.
